Get to know Mike

I am a Journalism graduate and have spent the past 12 years - and counting! - with one of Canada's largest sports media outlets.

I consider myself an outgoing extrovert, and moving into the public speaking space as an officiant seemed to only make sense. 

In my spare time, I enjoy playing tennis, golf and beer league hockey, along well as being let down yearly by my beloved Maple Leafs. An avid traveller, I have visited over 30 countries with just Oceania remaining to complete my list of continents, having done an Antarctica cruise to open 2025.

As an officiant, I am passionate about performing unique, inclusive, affordable and fun ceremonies while making the process as stress-free as possible for couples! 

After performing symbolic marriages for friends in 2024, I became officially registered by the Province of Ontario in early 2025 after completing Humanist Canada's officiant training program. For more about Humanist Canada, click here.
